Issued by the Consulate General of Italy, Kolkata, which holds consular jurisdiction over Nepal.
Nepal is under the consular jurisdiction of the Consulate General of Italy in Kolkata, not an embassy in Kathmandu. Applications are submitted at VFS Global Kathmandu and physically forwarded to Kolkata — factor in transit time (roughly 10 working days each way) on top of processing time.
