Arrival & Registration
Register at the university's international student office within the first week
Apply for Alien Registration Card (ARC / 외국인등록증) at the local Immigration Office within 90 daysRequired

Open a Korean bank account (Woori Bank, KEB Hana, or Shinhan — most have English support)
Get a Korean phone number (prepaid SIM or contract)

Attend university orientation
Apply for part-time work permission at Immigration (S-1 permit) — allowed up to 20 hrs/week after 6 months of study
You must maintain a GPA of 2.0+ and have been enrolled for at least one semester to be eligible for part-time work.
